DokiWatch is a product of Doki Technologies where it is positioned to be the world’s most advanced smartwatch for kids. The Dokiwatch is an all-in-one wearable phone that features GPS locating, fitness tracking, an electronic pet, SOS functions and more. This allows the kids to be engaged while giving the parents a peace of mind knowing their child is safe. Initially started out as a Kickstarter campaign, they have raised more than $300,000 within their first 30 days. DokiWatch appeared in CES 2016 and had media coverage of multiple online tech websites such as engadget, Android Authority, Wareable and many more.

XOPO Design was brought in as a design consultant to help strategize and plan for their Kickstarter campaign to production of the smartwatch. We started working on their brand positioning and understanding their marketing angle to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their mission and products. The concept of their logo was made to signify the hand gesture of ‘OK’ and the name ‘Doki’ derived from the playful slang of saying ‘okie dokie’. Bright colours were also introduced to the brand identity to appeal to its younger audience. All marketing collaterals were developed by us from start to finish to ensure consistency across all platforms, from the wearable device, mobile app and website. The user experience and interface was designed meticulously to anticipate every outcome and every function integrated for seamless response between app and device.
